Swanson Russell Promotes Berger, Hires Barratt

LINCOLN, Neb., (July 25, 2008) - Swanson Russell announces the promotion of Paul Berger to vice president/account supervisor and the hiring of Joel Barratt as art director in its Omaha, Neb., office.

Berger worked in Swanson Russell’s creative department for the past 16 years, first as an art director and later as vice president/creative director in the Omaha office. He has worked extensively on healthcare accounts and has been a key figure in the growth of the agency.

A native of Auburn, Neb., Berger holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in art and journalism from Midland Lutheran College in Fremont, Neb. He is a member of the Omaha Federation of Advertising, American Marketing Association and the Society for Healthcare Strategy and Market Development.

A native of Irwin, Iowa, Barratt has lived in Omaha since 1986. He comes to Swanson Russell with more than 20 years of experience in advertising, marketing, graphic design and copywriting. His work has won numerous awards.

Barratt’s previous experience includes positions with other Omaha-area agencies, including associate creative director at Sacco and most recently, creative director at Corporate 3 Design. He has a Bachelor of Arts degree in fine art and commercial art from Dana College in Blair, Neb. He is a member of the Omaha Federation of Advertising.
