An Idea with a Big Personality
To increase tourism and draw more people to the Bob Kerrey Pedestrian Bridge, we came up with a big idea based on the structure's most beloved denizen: a troll. OMAR was born as a way to give life to the area while telling stories about the city itself. Our campaign welcomed kids and families through environmental experiences, an illustrated storybook, QR-activated videos, an immersive microsite, and a real-life statue under the bridge itself.
Introducing Omaha's Newest, Bluest Friend
Our campaign launched with a video introducing OMAR to the world — very briefly.
The Ultimate Meet and Greet
We wanted to make OMAR's introduction a big one, so we promoted the statue's unveiling on social media — and invited the entire city to attend.
Souvenirs With a Smile
Take-home masks helped kids (and let’s be honest, adults) discover there’s a little OMAR in all of us.
A Story of Sites to See
We didn't want to create just another travel guide — we wanted to show off the city through OMAR's eyes. This illustrated storybook invited families to come along for a troll-led tour of the area's best sites and scenes.
Signage That Dances, Whips and Hops
We made Omaha's Bob Kerrey Pedestrian Bridge more fun and more lively with experiential signs featuring OMAR himself.
Once the codes were scanned, OMAR came to life through animated videos. Each was designed to show off a playful talent while encouraging passersby to play along.
A Playful Plan for Advertising
After OMAR found his way into the world, the community came out to play. But a troll this big deserved some big promotion, so we used video to spread the word about the city's hairiest new attraction.
A Journey Through Land, Time and Rhyme
Every great character has an equally great origin story — and OMAR's was one for the ages. We created an interactive experience showing how his journey started, where he's roamed, and how he found himself a home in Omaha.
Sharing the News on Social
A custom filter let audiences try on — and share — the OMAR experience.
